Directions on how to make a Origami Flower

For those who asked for the directions...Here they are! I thought it would be easier in "picture steps",
that way you can see it done. This one is blank, but you can decorate it before doing the steps if you like.
Read under the pictures, to see further directions. Remember, you need 5 petals to make a flower, and these steps only tell you how to make one petal. So if you do this 5 times with a different 4 by 4 piece of paper, and then glue the petals together...you will then have a Origami Flower! Hope this helps!
This is a 4 by 4 piece of paper.
Bend the paper so it makes a triangle.

Once you have your triangle, fold the two end points
to the very top point, making it look like this.
It should look something like a fortune cookie once you fold both points.

Now, at the very top bend the two folded pieces over, looking like this.

This is what it should look like once you fold both the sides over,
                                                            starting from the very top
Now, open up the folded piece, and press down, making a wing.
This is what it should look like once you create the "wing" effect on both sides
Now, at the end of the wing there is a point. Fold that point til it is straight across.
As you can see, I flipped my petal over after doing that.

Now, on the wing, starting from the right side, fold it over, and do the
same on the left. Once you have this, you will need to glue the sides
where you just folded. After you have applied the glue, pinch together, or
just stick a paper clip on it until it is completely dry.

This gives you a better picture of where to apply the glue. Right where is says
"Step 11" is where you put the glue, and on the other side as well.

Once you glue the sides together, it will look like this. You now have
                                                               your first petal!
There are 5 petals, and if you do this step 4 more times, you will then have all
the petals to make a complete flower. Once you have all 5, glue them all together.
I really hope you guys try this out! They are really cool! And like you saw in my
other pictures, you can do this with magazines, or just decorate it... with songs,
designs, or just whatever you like.  Please comment if you have any questions,
and to tell me how it worked for you, or just what you think about this. Thanks!

"City of Refuge"

Yesterday, at 4:30 the wrestling team went to the training convention for a last work out to make weight for the next day. This tournament is the NCWA National Duals. Surprisingly, as us managers just sat down, we were introduced to a man named Jim, and asked us if we would like to participate in serving at the "City of refuge" soup kitchen. Having the opportunity to serve before at other local soup kitchens, I was very excited and could hardly wait. While two mangers stayed back, Rachel, Joy, and I headed to the soup kitchen. In all honesty I was a little nervous just because of the unfamiliar setting, but as I entered the small refuge and looked at the people who waited anxiously for their food, I realized how much these people needed our help. They looked so desperate, and alone, and some trying so hard to keep a brave composure. The lady who served with us brought us to the children, and said "make a friend". It was an amazing experience getting to know them. In fact we made lots of friends who I will never forget. As they prayed for our team to do well, I thought of how even in their awful situation, they are still willing to give what they do have, and that was most importantly their prayers! As we finished cleaning, we saw 5 kids and a mom waiting on the bench. This family lost their house, due to their father loosing his job. Their smiles were all so beautiful. We soon made 5 friends that I will cherish in my heart forever. Kevin, Jasmin, Mercades, Ida, Hiro all gave us hugs as we left the soup kitchen. This experience made me realize how much God has blessed me and my family, and made me be more appreciative. These families survive off the hope and love of other people. Even though they may not have a home to call their own, they now have a friend that they will have forever.

Some wrestlers from other teams came to serve as well. Later that night we were interviewed,
and were told that we would be put in the "Daily citizen" Newspaper of Dalton, Georgia.
There were two pictures in the newspaper...one of these two wrestlers, and one of Rachel, Joy, and I. But I couldn't find the one of us on the internet.
